Our Team

For over 35 years, PATCO has built steel and metal buildings for clients in Southern Maine and New Hampshire. Our decades of success as a commercial construction company is based upon the core values of teamwork, respect, fairness, and integrity. These values drive what we do, how we do it, and who we partner with to design and deliver our custom metal buildings and commercial construction projects. When you build a project with PATCO, you also build a lasting partnership. We strive to be the best general contractor we can be and have some fun along the way.

Greg Patterson
PATCO Co-Owner
Born and raised in Sanford and now I live in Saco. I graduated from Sanford High in 1983 and the University of Maine At Orono in 1987. My father, brother and I started PATCO Construction in 1987. While my position as company President requires I wear many hats, my focus remains on providing innovative building solutions and extraordinary customer service that builds trust and confidence with our customers. I enjoy biking, skiing, boating, golf and spending time with my wife, kids and family.

Jon Bell
Executive Vice President
I was raised in Lewiston, ME and graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in Construction Management. I started with PATCO in 2005 and quickly realized that the best thing we do is treat every client fairly and hope to leverage those positive relationships. The best marketing is a happy client. When I’m not working, I love hanging out with my lovely wife and son. We enjoy going for motorcycle rides and snowmobiling. I also enjoy golfing, barbecuing and taking walks on the beach.

Dennis Waters
Vice President
I’ve worked in the commercial construction industry in Southern Maine for over 32 years. Starting as a draftsman, I’ve had the good fortune to work in just about every related discipline from estimator to project manager, supervisor to salesman and administrator. At PATCO, my primary responsibilities are sales and administration but I’m also responsible for seeing that my projects are constructed properly and to my client’s satisfaction.

Bill Rudman
Director - Preconstruction
I have 33 years of construction experience, 23 with PATCO. At PATCO, we work as a team through a variety of challenges together, and our success can be measured in the number of repeat customers we service. The respect and trust we’ve earned from our customers and from within the commercial building industry is invaluable. When I’m not at PATCO I enjoy golfing, coaching or attending any sporting event.

Ron Mercier
Senior Superintendent
I’ve been in construction for 40 years with 24 here at PATCO. I’ve always been a “hands on” guy which makes my job easier – I know first hand every aspect of the build process. I never get tired of watching a project evolve from a cleared lot to a finished product. I take great pride in going by a building and saying, “We built that!” When I am not working I enjoy riding my motorcycle, camping, fishing, and hiking.

Jason Gardner
Project Manager
I have been around the construction trade most of my life, from basic carpentry in high school to being a heavy equipment mechanic in the US Army. I acquired my Degree in Technical Graphic & Design and have worked with construction companies since. I enjoy walking around jobsites and watching all project phases from beginning to completion. When not working, I enjoy motorcycle rides with my wife, spending time with my family & working with my hands in my garage or in the yard. I’m also a volunteer firefighter.

Ethan Belanger
Assistant Engineer
I grew up in Sanford, ME and graduated from the University of Maine in Orono with a degree in Civil Engineering. After I graduated in the spring of 2021, I started working for PATCO as a draftsman/estimator, and have also been able to provide project management for the commercial division. I like that everyday is different and that I get to work with a great group of people at PATCO. My favorite part of my job is seeing a project come to life. Some of my hobbies include skiing, playing sports, and hanging out with my friends and family.

Cheri Emmons
Administrative Assistant
I recently joined the PATCO Commercial team after working as an Emergency Dispatcher for 23 years. My ability to multitask, learn quickly, and remain calm when under pressure helps me roll with all the projects that come through our office. It’s wonderful working with the Commercial team; everyone here is positive and it feels like a little family. I’m originally from Massachusetts and moved to Maine in 1998. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my daughter.

Our Steel Crew
Every day we work hard to construct quality steel and metal buildings for our clients, work that would not be possible without our Steel Crew. It is unique for a commercial construction company to have a dedicated in-house erection and enclosure crew. By keeping it in-house, the PATCO team is able to control all aspects of the build. This helps streamline and simplify projects and also contributes to the quality of the finished product. If an issue arises on a job we are on-site to deal with it directly, and when changes need to be made the Steel Crew can adapt quickly rather than go through a lengthy change order process. The PATCO Steel Crew is skilled and trained in every aspect of the building process, from putting up columns to securing pieces of finish trim. They work year-round to ensure our steel and metal buildings are erected properly and are responsible for the high satisfaction rate among our customers and clients.
